Christmas Eve

My Knights in shinning armour. Jen and I spent the morning out shopping; while I was enjoying some girl time, Daddy had some fun with the kids. He's so fun.

Making cookies for Santa

Every year since Canon was a baby we have made cookies together on Christmas Eve, it is a tradition that I want to keep going forever I love it. This year while the cookies were in the oven we played a Lego board game that was perfect for the kids Ryker is holding what he made in this family picture. I think board games on Christmas Eve will be a new tradition it was fun.

 Is it bed time yet?

chopsticks

Canon had been asking to have Chinese for dinner because he loves it but this time he really wanted to try out chopsticks. Go for it buddy, why not. Turns out he was a natural, he had no problem eating his whole meal with them and could even eat the rice with them. He was so proud of his newly discovered talent I just had to share. Way to go Canon you could fit right in, in Asia-sort of.

Kenna my Princess

We did a photo shoot to get a picture to put on her birthday invitation here are a few cute ones.

Kenna's Birthday is just around the corner I can't believe it! It has been a very fast year. Kenna is our last baby and I am so glad that she is in our family, she is such
a sweetheart. She has gotten so big and is turning into a little girl no longer a baby but she will always be our
 little Princess.

Macco Bowl

Vegas was very foggy and rainy.
 Great seats-not so great game
 Sitting with the Sprague boys
Travis and Jeromy were lucky enough to go to the Utes bowl game in Vegas (thanks Brent) It was a quick trip but they had fun together with the Sprague's. Too bad we didn't win.

Canon's class party

Canon's class Christmas party. This is Canons second year at this preschool and we love it, they always do such a good job.

Decorating Cookies

 Grandpa and Kenna
 nice job Jen

Every year we decorate Christmas cookies with my family. It's messy and delicious!

Tangled

We took the kids to the newest Disney movie Tangled, LOVED it! It was a cute movie that all the kids liked and we had a lot of fun. Kenna is getting a Rapunzel doll for Christmas so we had to learn more about her.

Layton city lights

My favorite display isn't on the park property (of course) but on the same street inches away!
The kids love driving through this tunnel of lights, it flashes and changes colors.
Ryker's favorite, he loves trains right now

This post combines two trips to see the lights. The first time we went this year it was 47* out so we walked around to look at the displays, the kids were so excited to walk through the park it was the first time we have done that; it has always been too cold. We went again on Christmas eve eve, it was much more crowded and much more cold, so we just drove through it.

Christmas tree

Just a quick note- yes Ryker does appear to be wearing the same star wars jammies in every post, we do have two sets and try are hardest to get him to wear something else (sometimes we put clothes over the top)...I hope to read this one day and laugh-I hope it's soon.
We helped decorate Grandma Jackson's tree for her, the kids had more fun playing with all the decorations rather than putting them on the tree. After a few days all the ornaments migrated out of reach, 11 grand kids and one tree-good thing it's sturdy.

Christmas art

I could tell how hard the kids were trying to do a good job, look at that focus, I love it!
Ryker wanted to paint everything green.

This was a fun family home evening project my mom picked up for us to do. It is a nativity that you paint yourself. The kids had a lot of fun and did a great job.

Tradition

Kenna with Grandma Joan and her Hippopotamus, it's a Christmas present from Grandpa. Kenna loves this hippo so much she had to take it home that night and it's been her snuggle buddy ever since-she's so cute with it she gives it the sweetest hugs, and sleeps snuggling it.
My mom has a bunch of battery operated Christmas "toy's" that play music and move. The kids love to play with them every year. This is Kenna's first Christmas and she really liked the dancing snowman.

Going to decorate the Tree and a Gingerbread house. This is one of my favorite traditions, we come over and decorate the tree with them every year.

Team effort lets get this gingerbread house decorated!
The kids had a lot of fun coming over and continuing our family traditions.
